About Me

So what can you do?... and how good are you at it?

  • HTML/CSS: 8 year(s)
  • I like XHTML Strict 1.0 standards and CSS 2. It seems to work well for me in terms of making sure that my code doesn't break in most browsers which keeps your site looking nice and neat in Safari, Firefox, Opera or even IE. Add to that an eye for color and design and you have a very dangerous man on your hands.
  • JavaScript:2 year(s)
  • I've come to know and love javascript over the course of the last two years. While I have used it in a few pieces of script for varying effects and just making my coding life a bit easier, my sites aren't heavy on that, so as to avoid any mishaps or breakdowns once you start using a browser that might have javascript turned off or disabled. That means more time spent viewing content and less time spent on playing with your menus. If you are interested, here are some things I've made with it.
  • Color Test
  • Password Generator
  • D&D Character Stat Generator
  • Python:4 month(s)
  • I'm taking my time with this language, but I find it quite fascinating. At the very least, I can make simple programs with it.
  • PHP
  • While I've not gotten into databases yet, I'm becoming quite proficient with this (take a look at your web address bar). So far I've managed to come up with a few interesting little doodads here and there that could be easily built upon and use for other fun things. Here's one for your enjoyment.
  • Password Generator
  • Photoshop: 2 year(s)
  • Summer of 2006 found me sitting the hills of West Virginia with very little to do, so downloaded a trial version of Photoshop CS2 and started working from there. I read, studied, asked a lot of questions and failed quite a few times before I made a picture I liked. Now, I get requests now and then to make a piece. Usually signature banners as you see below (although I can also do large art like wallpapers or posters).

Got any hobbies?

Yes, I do. Aside from the things above, I'm into martial arts, exercise, and DDR. I also like playing video games and writing reviews for them. Here are games that I've written reviews for:

Actually, I write fairly often. I also write beginner tutorials for things like CSS (for those who somehow managed to miss google), making batch files, and so on in addition to short stories and poetry. I'm a bit of a linguaphile, so I study japanese while reviewing my french and spanish in my free time.
